Really good job on this from my colleague Danielle Hoe. Never been personally, must make the effort! The Sheffield pub with the best views all from its beer garden

@PollyRippon @PeteOlusoga The wrapping paper was part of the snake-oil thing....this was just a sugary drink, tasting a bit yucky, dressed up as something medicinal. Fortunately, the wrapping paper could be recycled for all sorts of childhood projects - just as soon as the Luco had worked magic!

Had cause to dig out my first contacts book (converted from a Barnsley Chron hardback notebook, they looked after us in 82). Contains pager number for former MP Eric Illsley. I really feel old...

Here's a TV story which started life as some of my LDR work. I put myself through endless cups of tea with the right people to get to the root of such issues! And even after all these years, I still get a buzz when things work out right.

Penistone is bucking the trend by increasing bus journeys for its elderly and leading a renaissance in rural transport for rural areas, funded by Barnsley Council. Thanks @_davidrhodes for this piece on @BBCLookNorth

Crikey! Ten yrs of austerity has left councils like Barnsley with budgets cut to the bone and many residents are also notoriously disadvantaged. But fly tipping's our fault, according to the Govt. Just when you think it can't get worse...

🥀 New figures show that Labour councils have the worst fly-tipping rates. It’s Conservative councils and councillors that are focused on getting things done, keeping your streets clean and collecting your bins.
