Fellow road users. if you see this sign the rider’s just warning you they could be recording their journey. They’re not out to make dramatic videos or “grass” to police — they just want space. But if you don’t give it to them, don’t be surprised if the cops call. #cycling

Get a camera, folks… father in law’s club ride got rear-ended by a dope in a car yesterday. He’s now got a fractured vertebra and is in agony but, thankfully, should be ok. Footage would’ve certainly helped the investigation. Is it any wonder I get wound up by dangerous driving?

A thread. I lost a cousin, aged eight, to a driver. My dad just survived being crushed between two cars by an uninsured, untrained driver. Another cousin left in a coma when a driver hit his motorbike. Wife’s uncle in a wheelchair after being hit by a red light jumping driver.

Despite what some speedophiles claim, I don’t have a bike camera to “grass” on drivers - I have it to deter bad motoring while warning them it’s there with my PassPixi. It doesn’t half make for dull videos though… this Skoda driver was wonderfully careful 👍 #cycling

Hell’s bells… some of the people on here trying to blame this on the rider not wearing high-viz and making excuses for the reckless driver. If you think this is acceptable driving please take a sharp pair of scissors to your licence and post the bits to DVLA immediately.
It was such a happy day going over the border yesterday - but it nearly ended in disaster. Lady B was in the cycle lane, waving to fellow cyclists, just as a woman in a red car dangerously overtook a lorry, nearly hitting her, & causing the support car to swerve. Not a nice

Finally fitted my £15 deterrent camera. I reckon it’ll work just as well as a £300 GoPro (not in recording quality, obvs, but in terms of limiting close passes when combined with PassPixi ). I’ve added a strip of reflective tape inside the casing to make it stand out #Cycling

Given that I’m flogging signs telling drivers to pass cyclists wide, it’s probably not great marketing to stick my #ClosePass clips on here… but I’d rather be honest with you. PassPixi doesn’t deter every chump, but take it from me it’s even worse when I ride without it

Don a helmet and high vis, buy insurance, have flashing LEDs front and rear, stop at every red light and always stay in your lane… it won’t make a blind bit of difference to how our fellow drivers treat you. But reminding them they’re being watched will (usually)… #cycling
