No you can’t. You are under contract with the team. If you have a 4 year contract and you walk away your contract time stops until you come back. If you leave the Cubs you are a cub until your play out your contract. No matter how long it takes

Bummer news today. Just received word that diehard Kings fan Tim Raboin passed away.
Dude was such a nice guy. For years, he made it a point to stop by & say hi when he was at games. He also had a love for drag racing, passionately told stories about his time at the track.
