I don't know that I've ever had more fun in a week of fantasy football than I have this week... Even with
@andyholloway
decimating me in our matchup.
To everyone that joined in on the fun, contributed to the rivalry and took part, I just want to say thank you for making this
In honor of our matchup, it's time to let you weigh in on who will win in my showdown with
@andyholloway
!
Head over to and cast your votes! (Trust me, you want to see this!)
If I win my matchup today because I traded away Joe Burrow and picked up Fields/DJ Moore in "The Trade", I will be an insufferable turd at work tomorrow. This I guarantee!
Totally no way I'm going to have to answer for all my trolling today right? My friends and bosses would never make me face the consequences of my own actions would they?!
This is honestly the best piece of fantasy football advice I can give.
In over a decade of playing various types of leagues, with multiple championships under my belt and having it be a full time career now it’s just something I can’t believe more people don’t realize but it’s:
What is an acceptable level of gloating when you crush your opponent? Lets say it's family, or a co-worker or a boss? What if they were the 2nd highest points in the league and you know they're already tilting hard? Asking for a friend...
Last year someone was adamant that this trade was collusion:
James Cook, DK Metcalf, and Davantae Adams
For:
Ja'Marr Chase, Austin Ekeler, and Josh Downs.
They claimed no one would give up Chase and Ekeler for the other side. Convinced collusion was happening, they were
I have the 1.02, 1.03, 1.05 and the 1.10 in this years rookie draft.
I can't wait for the heartbreak when all the guys I pick that "should" be great end up as busts.
No one is ever prepared to be a parent. We try until we think we figure it out, then our kids get older and we figure it out as they grow. Then they become teenagers and we try to figure it out all over again.
Yesterday was one of those parenting moments no one tells you about.
I would like to start the "I have the bye week in the playoffs" club. We're an exclusive group I know, but who's with me?!
Time to watch the peons battle it out in the first round!
Fantasy Start/Sit decisions in the semi-finals are some of the most agonizing choices a person can face in life.
Rest easy my friends. Remember the most important part. Undoubtedly, whichever option you finally land on, it will assuredly be the wrong choice.
Tonight my daughter graduated high school. My wife has home schooled her since 1st grade. I am beyond proud of both the accomplishments of my daughter and my wife. It's no small task. I am filled with pride, sadness, hope and a bit of melancholy. Here's to a very bright future!
Parents, involve yourselves in your childrens passions. My oldest daughter is a gamer and my youngest loves anime. I've been playing a lot of OW2 and watching Demon Slayer and I love every minute of it.
I get a lot of trade questions and one thing I've noticed from a lot of newer players is uncertainty about a trade being "fair".
If your team is set up in a way to allow you to "afford" a move, then it likely makes more sense than you think.
If you are stacked with WR's but
Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is for Jonathan Taylors thumb to be ok. Please let it be ok. I'll be good all year. I won't betray my league mates, I won't use my FAAB to block good waiver pickups. I won't gloat when I win. Please let him be fine!
An oldie, but a goodie.
@ProducerBorland
and I took down the juggernauts of foosball when we were but newbies back in the day.
We might have gone a little overboard on the celebration.
Left a little something for
@andyholloway
this morning to amp him up for our showdown. Nothing like your starting RB’s having the
#1
and
#2
worst matchups in the league right Andy?!
You are NOT alone and people DO care about you.
My best friend in high school committed suicide several years ago. I say this not for any sympathy but to say something important.
If you are reading this and struggling, and feel like you have no one that understands or to talk
It’s a true joy for me to have met so many incredible people through fantasy football and the FootClan. I’m thankful for every one of you that has taken the time to chat, comment, laugh or cry with me. There are some incredible people in this world and I’m glad to get to know all
I have no discernible talents. My wife is an incredible artist, my kids are artists. I'm surrounded by incredible entrepreneurs, creative people and people who just ooze talent.
It would be easy to say I am outmatched (I am) but as I get older, I realize that not all talents
HEY ITS YOU!
Yes you, scrolling and seeing this. I want to tell you I hope today is truly a great day for you. I hope you see/find joy in something today and are thankful for that chance regardless of what struggles life might throw at you.
A year ago I quit a corporate job I’d had for 16 years to work full time with some of my best friends. Was it scary? Yes.
Change is NEVER easy but it’s often necessary for us to improve our lives or situations. Don’t fear change. Fear staying unhappy in your current situation.
3 pork tenderloins in the smoker for a little early Fathers Day get together.
Figured I’d try a different rub on each one:
Lemon pepper -> Applewood -> Blackened.
Which one will be the best?!
Just a reminder to everyone out there that might need to hear it.
Life needs to have it's down moments, so you can have your up moments as well.
Give yourself some grace during the down moments. It's not a failure because you're in that part of the cycle.
If you're the kind of person that sees someone turn on their blinker and try to merge over, and you close the gap so they can't... we can't be friends.
I'm often baffled at the general lack of kindness between strangers. When I walk into the gas station, the people behind the counter say "hello" (I'm fully aware this is probably required via their job duties) but I always respond with "hello!" back. The number of people that
Fun Fact: I 100% enjoy hugs as a greeting amongst friends. Getting my fellow co-workers to understand this and now offer them to ME is one of my greatest accomplishments.
My morning so far:
-Exploded wet cat food juice all over me.
-Spilled a giant glass of water.
-Spilled my coffee.
-Spilled dry cat food bowl on the floor while trying to clean up the spilled water.
-These are all IKEA boxes. I have to assemble all of this.
-Had a "mis-wipe"
Who was your favorite fantasy football player this year? Didn't have to be on your team, just the guy you were always interested to see how they did.
For me it was Kyren Williams (followed in a close 2nd by Devon Achane)
Things I hate in Fantasy Football:
1) Having 2nd highest point on the week. Played highest scoring team that week.
2) That one league mate who sends the stinkiest most awful trades, forcing me to waste precious seconds of my life clicking decline.
3) Losing.

Wife wanted a new table set and tasked me with building one. Burned the surface to get this awesome looking pattern/grain (no stain) and then just a couple coats of poly on top. Pretty happy with how it came out.

We don't veto a trade because it looks bad, but we do reverse collusion and intentional stuff like this. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
Seeing a lot of questions about collusion and playoff teams/waivers.
It is 100% acceptable to "block" an opponent by grabbing a player off waivers they might need.
It is NOT acceptable to recruit other people in your league to help you do that.
If multiple teams are working
Struggle is a part of life. I firmly believe you can't have the good without the bad. There is very much a time and a place to suck it up and grind on. However... we all need help at times. Humans are social creatures and there is always a time in life when we need someone's
A man is constantly on the lookout for the next bad thing to happen. He's expecting it, preparing for it and when it happens, he thinks "I knew it!"
Another man is always looking for the positives. For the next small joy in life. He's on the lookout for it and when it happens,
Pride is such a damaging emotion. The desire to be "right" can ruin so many things for people. It prevents us from apologizing, from growing, and from learning. It's often a stubbornness to admit fault, and yet failure is how we learn and grow in life. Strong disagreement
Being a parent is tough. We have emotions and emotional responses and sometimes they aren’t always perfect. This can especially be exacerbated by an unreasonable teenager who doesn’t understand adult responsibilities or financial discipline.
Sometimes saying no is the best
True story: Moved to Key Largo to start my first "real" job out of college as a dolphin trainer. Rented a place sight unseen (we were young/dumb and it was 24hrs away and we had no time left to move). Lady that rented it described the place very nicely. 🧵⬇️
Remember when we used to be kids and think stuff was nerdy?
I'm jealous of those people now. They knew the fun stuff and just weren't afraid to show it.
Video games, anime, D&D... guess what? It's all a blast!
Went to Phoenix Fan Fusion this last weekend with my two daughters. I'm not one to miss out on fun so went as

. Mad credit to my wife for making this happen!
Sometimes you have very important things to do at work.
Sometimes those things might be getting challenged to a foot race by the youngster
@MattPingrey
who thought being 20 years younger was going to help.
I worry about his ego now... he lost bad.
