Kinda predictable how people rate episodes
More shock value more deaths = better ratings
Not saying it doesn't deserve it
But people be downplaying slower episodes
Depiction of any evil should discredit any work of art immediately then ?
Also funny how idiots will start shit up by wishing death on people and accusing of fandoms of being potential r*pists and weirdos then resort to "well we're allowed to criticise"
If only you did just that

In the first picture he ain't looking father of even a 20 year old
Let alone the patriarch of a giant family
Bro got like 10 sons and daughters and 20 grand children
Slam Dunk slander always so funny
You could predict from a mile who are the people doing the slandering
The insecurity runs rampant among certain groups
Anyway can't wait to get feral when the movie drops 🙏
Oldboy
Being spoiled on the main twist miraculously doesn't lessen this movie's efficacy at all
It doesn't just drop the twist and leaves it smears your face all up in it until you're begging with the characters to just fucking stop
One of the greatest revenge tales ever

Literally nothing new to be added to the conversation yet we gotta have it every 5 days
You didn't discover water on mars
Far more eloquent people have covered everything and more already
Hes dead
Series is already infamous
No need for redundant rage bait discourse

This epic captures a moment in time and the people who inhibited it and their sentiments against the backdrop of a major historical event while analysing the nature of such events and innumerable elements and their interplay that become their causes
Random idiots feel inspired to chime in with their most obvious cookie cutter takes just to feed fuel to the fire all bcz they never liked it or never read it and hate the acclaim it receives
They have to justify their dislike by assuming a higher moral stance than the fans
"buTt beRk fanS tHinK tHe sEriEs is FlaWleSs"
"nobody would like it if it wasn't for the art"
Their motivation are so obvious it's actually insane
Bcz none of those statement are remotely true
But of course twitter users wouldn't know about that
Maki is literally the only person that’s for sure walking out of this alive purely because maki is a Toji clone and Ronald gegean lives to glaze that nigga

A story about a revolution gone wrong
A critique of not ideas but rather individuals
Ideas can be perfect but individuals are inherently flawed
Ideas can take hold of them like a possesion
More than anything it asks us to exercise caution
@hanayushalt
Male characters in shoujo are similarly stereotypical as females are in shounen
Kpop ass looking dudes who are immortal but sexy gods who keeping falling in love with the same quirky but wholesome chick in every incarnation type shit
No offense but kinda silly to only bring up stuff like this when someone doesn't like something
Nobody questions anyone if they liked something the "right" way
All interpretation/reasons are valid then but if you don't like something then clearly you missed the "right" way
Not hating on the dude for disliking it but I still stand by the fact you should only watch this film if u have an appreciation for cinematography and an emphasis of storytelling through it since it’s a film that truly prioritizes utility of the medium above all else
‘OPPENHEIMER’ includes “prolonged full nudity” between Cillian Murphy and Florence Pugh.
The love story aspect “is as strong as I’ve ever done,” says Christopher Nolan.

You'll know when Golden Age ends
In fact i doubt you'll ever forget how it ends lol
The words "eclipse" and "Golden Age" will have a permanent change in meaning for you
"Tyrion Lannister had claimed that most men would rather deny a hard truth than face it, but Jon was done with denials. He was who he was; Jon Snow, bastard and oathbreaker, motherless, friendless, and damned."

Probably the least overtly philosophical of all his works but perhaps the most entertaining and arguably his best ending ?
Usual Dostoevsky with Austen on crack
It's erratic af even for him
Pure utter chaos every other scene with a wildly entertaining cast
The Passenger ✅

Central idea in Quantum mechanics states that the very attempt at observation changes the state of the object being observed
Using that McCarthy makes the case that even our greatest intellectual achievement only serves to affirm our eternal finitude

1. Brothers Karamazov (10/10)
2. Crime and Punishment (10/10)

Ngl i think people in book spaces don't realise just how big some of these series are
Especially One Piece
Tweets like this feel like call for validation from a "higher" community
Cuz considering the popularity of the series OP is already considered the 🐐 by a gigantic crowd
@PlatinumEquinox
She's useless in the plot rather than being useless literally
She doesn't add anything interesting to the narrative
And sometimes her uninteresting but annoying antics feel like a distraction to the actual thing people want to see
Lone Wolf And Cub
(Sincerely mean every word here)
Greatest manga I've read
Greatest revenge story I've read/seen
Greatest ending to any manga I can think of
Greatest child character I've ever seen
One of the most emotionally powerful narrative I've experienced
Far beyond
10/10
Spider-Man: ATSV ✅
Still a little iffy on the multiverse concept and how it's used to canonize every iteration of spiderman into one narrative but in everything else this movie is, to use the wise words
GOAT RAW FIRE
This is the Spider-man 2 for the modern era
9 - 9.5/10
Asioaf is extremely accessible/readable despite not being a simple narrative or having simple lore/world building
It deserves all the props for it
Everything flows very naturally chapter to chapter
It's like reading Urasawa manga (weird comparison but it makes sense in my head)
Fiction TBR 2024
(Ordered by how likely i am to read and finish them)
For books with multiple vols will only be aiming for first 2 3 vols
Same goes for WoT
Have some non fiction as well but they're strictly informative with no goal to "finish" them
Red Dead Redemption 2 ✅
Astounding level of detail both mechanical and visual provide unparalleled immersion complimented by a deeply moving and thematically rich story and character writing
Pure work of art
Haven't played too many games but by far my favourite
