It is with great sadness that my dear friend John Sandall passed away yesterday. John was responsible for launching my career at the Evening Telegraph in the early 70’s, we’ve been mates ever since. The Lowndes family will greatly miss him. RIP John

Sad to hear of the passing of Geoff Capes. I remember him as a Bridge Street copper, Olympic athlete, the World’s Strongest Man, a World renowned bird breeder and International judge and an OK bloke. RIP Geoff

Thanks everyone for your many kind messages yesterday. It really lifted my spirits to carry on as a freelance photographer in the City. I am not ready to hang up my cameras just I will be out there looking for work as usual. Best wishes Lowndesy
