It is a privilege of a lifetime to represent this beautiful city of ours. We have better days ahead - but it will require us all to work together. Thank you to everyone who voted. I will do my best to serve. Let the work begin. #Peterborough #Change

We need more apprenticeships and opportunities for young people. I’ve used my @peterboroughtel column this week to write about my work to boost apprenticeships and training in Peterborough. 👉

Nik is one of life’s good souls. We need more of that in public life. A legacy topped off by bus franchising agreed today. Thank you @NikJohnsonCA

Language like this pulls Peterborough politics back into the gutter. If you spoke like this at work, you’d get sacked. The Tories have serious questions to answer

The Assisted Dying Bill is complex legislation. I voted against the Bill but accept that it requires good scrutiny. Such far reaching proposals need to proceed with balance and care.
This evening me, @Meg_HillierMP, @Jess4Lowestoft and @JamesFrith have written to all Labour MPs about the evidence to the assisted dying bill committee.

Good to see more arrests in hare coursing case. Reckless damage. This is sheer thuggery and cruelty not sport.
A sixth man has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and attending a hare coursing event after dozens of 4x4s swept through fields and villages in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Read more here ➡️

I entirely endorse what @zubirahmed says. The UK and world community are clear: Palestinians must be allowed to return home to Gaza. No excuses. And we must stand with them in rebuilding their lives and homes.
The Prime Minister has been clear about the Palestinian peoples' right to return and remain in Gaza. I have seen the human medical consequences of this conflict in graphic detail and I continue to be disturbed by brutal attacks on civilians and children. Anyone caught up in conflict deserves the right to aid and no one should be left to suffer a humanitarian crisis because of a lack of it. Today I asked Minister @AnnelieseDodds what our government can do to help the hundreds of thousands of children physically and psychologically traumatised by 16 months of bombardment.

One of most inspiring days I’ve had as an MP was meeting apprentices at @NationalTheatre We are world-beating in the creative industries in the UK and need to do more to back access to great jobs for young people across the country. @LeighInghamMP
