It is arguable that it was fully informed consent or whether a vulnerable adult with severe mental health problems was coerced into surgery. The psychiatrist knew of his mental health problems and threatened to stop his psychotherapy if he did not get surgery.

👍 That is why safeguarding needs to take account of sex differences. In the UK this is recognised in the Sexual Offences Act. Rape requires a penis so is a male crime, whatever the perpetrators "gender identity".
