Well, no, Social Democracy and Marxism split in 1914 over quite profound questions and developed into quite different and distinct traditions. I also don't agree that "Most Marxists admit that Marx was wrong about a lot" - I think the opposite is true here.

He also apprently spent 7 years studying Ukrainian culture and history prior to his "posting" but, to my knowledge, doesn't speak Ukrainian and I have never seen him elucidate on anything regards Ukrainian culture or history. He could have done a PhD in less time.
