I have accepted an MLB coaching role with the San Diego Padres as their Left Handed Batting Practice Pitcher and Staff Assistant. The old left arm got me to the show......not as a player but as a coach. As long as you get there is all that matters. We did it Pops....
One thing my HS players appreciate in the summer is that I send out the lineup the night before. Allows them to mentally prepare for their role the next day whether starting, sub, or support. It’s been a game changer for them and lessens the anxiety of showing up to the park…..

I pitched 9 years professionally, coached youth/amateur baseball for 13, coached in Big Leagues last year. What the
@DrivelineBB
Pitching Certification taught me was that there is so much more to learn in this game. The in person portion of course was intense and informative.
I couldn’t be more proud of my son

. The hard work and dedication it took to make himself a D1 baseball player was admirable. And to top it off, he’s heading to my Alma Mater. Welcome to The Ramily!

So proud of this kid

team and what they accomplished this season. Caden made 2nd team All-District catcher in one the most competitive districts in the state of TX. Great job buddy we’re all proud of you!

Room and board free? I slept on a futon mattress on the floor in a one bedroom apartment with six other teammates in Portland, OR. Not once in 9 yrs of pro ball was roommand board covered.
@KingofJUCO
Had a minor league coach ask me if I needed a shovel because I was digging myself a big hole. Told him to get the F off my mound. Proceeded to K the side.
Baseball is a very small community. What I learned in Pro ball is that you’ll only go as far as your reputation will let you. Disrespect the game....it will punish you, disrespect your colleagues....your window of opportunity closes immensely. Do good for the game, not yourself
In 2002, I went to Ozzfest at the Pepsi Center in Denver when I was with the Rockies with Helton, Walker, Hampton, and Neagle. I didn’t have a ride home so Larry offered me, a Rookie on the DL, a ride home. Suffice to say it was one of the coolest moments of my career.
A lot of men complaining about a woman being a D1 Baseball player couldn’t even sniff getting into Brown academically. Do better, be better. Congrats to

Highly recommend reaching out to

to help you navigate the College Baseball recruiting process. Walter has a wealth of knowledge and resources to guide you in the right direction. Much thanks to him for helping our family thru the process.
Parents and student athletes: Guidance is important throughout a process that can be frustrating as well as stressful. Never chase a destination: choose a path to your future.
@OleGreyBeard
Show me the angles you take in the OF, show me your base running instinct and secondary leads, show me your pre pitch set up and anticipation, show me feeds on turning two, show me how you get behind a fly ball and gain momentum into the throw.

Baseball has been a beautiful game for so long. It’s not just about throwing, catching, and hitting. The little nuances of the game within the game are beautiful.
Just a few for example: The pitcher stepping off or holding his set for an extended period of time, the batter and

Been working hard on my coach stance and look. Slowly but surely getting there. I’ll have the Batting Practice lean on the cage perfected by August.

I played the game of baseball a long time, but still this day it seems like it was over in an instant. No matter what age you are/what level you’re at, it always ends and not always on your terms.Enjoy every minute and work tirelessly to be the best u can be everyday.
