My colleague and I went to buy coffee at Woolworths Gardens last week, while we were sitting a white woman started a chat with me, then went on to say we wouldn’t have been civilised if a white man didn’t come to Africa. I told her your civilisation came with a graveyards for us.

Vanderbijlpark mother pregnant with twins arrested for allegedly selling her two-year-old son for R75,000 A Vanderbijlpark mother, Keneilwe Shalaba, is in custody after allegedly selling her two-year-old son, Kutlwano, for R75,000. In November 2024, Shalaba reported her child missing, claiming he was abducted by three men in a silver VW Polo. However, investigations revealed inconsistencies in her statement, leading to her arrest on November 19, 2024. She faces charges of human trafficking, conspiracy to commit robbery, and making a false statement to the police. Shalaba appeared in the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate’s Court today, February 12, 2025, for a bail application. The investigating officer testified that the state has a strong case against her. Shalaba, who is pregnant with twins, claimed her son was snatched from her in November. Investigations found that she received payment on the day she reported the child missing. The whereabouts of Kutlwano remain unknown, and police efforts to locate him are ongoing.
