🧒 We have been working on simplifying how to explain liquid staking so you our community can explain it to friends. 🧑🏫 Here is our simplified answer. 📨 If you like this post, please share with your friends. 🔸 Imagine you have some tokens (let's call them "CFX") that you want to invest to earn more tokens, but you also want to use those tokens for other things at the same time. 🔸 Liquid Staking is like this: 🔸 You give your $CFX to a special platform (like Nucleon on the Conflux network), which uses it to help secure the network. In return, you get a new kind of token (let's call it "xCFX"). 🔸 $xCFX represents your original CFX plus any interest it earns, but here's the cool part - you can still spend or trade this xCFX like regular tokens. You're not stuck waiting for your investment to grow before you can use it again. 🔸 So, you're making tokens (through staking rewards) while still having access to your funds for other uses, like buying things or investing in other places. In simple terms: 🔸 Staking: Putting your tokens to work to earn rewards, but usually, you can't use those tokens until you take them out. 🔸 Liquid Staking: You get to earn rewards AND use your tokens at the same time because you receive a new token that represents your staked tokens plus rewards. 🔸 This way, you don't have to choose between using your tokens now or investing them for later; you can do both.
