Is it bad that I don't have any sympathy for people who are experiencing depression for the "first time in their life"?
For context, I been dealing with depression since I was a child.
So when someone is having their first depressive moment in they late 20s, (1/2)
I like it when Madonna is being called out for their years of abuse.
Mind you, the Facebook post was about their consistent negligence that led to the death of a student. Such a dead school.
At least Oyedepo’s own is ‘slapping’, Father Edeh of Madonna University put 7 students in Awkwuzu SARS for criticizing the university on Facebook🙃
They spent roughly one month there & about 16 months at Awka prisons before finally getting released.
Tampons cause Toxic shock Syndrome and that alone makes pads 100 times better. Pads are more accessible and economical than any menstrual products too.

Mahn Chi! It’s just the different variation/manipulation of black hair. Why can other races do things with their hair but once we have twists or let our hair grow out, it looks indecent or unprofessional? It’s just fucking black hair. You want to explain to him when he grows up?
There was no time in Nigeria's history where tribe, religion & politics took any backseat. When we start telling the truth, only then would we get a glimpse of the so-called unity.
Remember when Aroma Ufodike from Nnewi made history on 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' & ALL of Nigeria cheered? Can we get back to that energy, where tribe, religion & politics took a backseat to unity?
Also, I hate that Ramat kissing Godpower overshadows Uduak’s deception and gaslighting. It’s insane how he knew he was the problem and did nothing to protect his wife from his mom

I saw a review before reading this book about the writer forcing their idea of “Nigerianess” into the work. I have read a lot of books by diaspora writers who do that but this was perfectly written. I enjoyed every bit of it. I can’t wait for the book club chat.
I'm hoping that yesterday's events will makeil it clearer to my people why our culture and name should be amplified
Call it Ichafu again.
Call it Igba Ukwu again.
Wear your akwete & akwaocha proudly.
Keep using our names for things so they won't say you stole from them.
@UdoSike
He thought he was close with the then military government. Even in court, he showed arrogance because he was convinced Abacha wouldn't let him die. After he was sentenced, he still believed Abacha won't let it happen, which led to him repeatedly asking, "Is Abacha aware of this?"
The whole entertainment industry lack the ability to accept criticism. That’s how Aunty Mo came out the other day to say we were hating because of the backlash Chief Daddy 2 got
When I worked a job that had me coming home past 12am every night, my dad would sit on a bench outside our gate every single night. Unfailingly. When our street had no lights and he would hold a torch. My drive home used to make me very nervous, so I used to power through it...
Christianity was once used in enslaving Black people. Ever since you people found out she's Mormon, you guys have been harassing her nonstop. She only shares lovely things about her family on social media. Which religion hasn’t said the most negative things about Black people?
My mom made sure I ate every day (I forget to eat when I am under a lot of stress ) and made sure I got enough rest on my off days.
I have wonderful parents. I have experienced pure love and I am forever grateful.
BREAKING: Intel reaching us from Abidjan suggests

scores a brace of not performing in the francophone country where he was slated to perform after the fiasco in Ghana. Ivorians say this is the second time he’s stood them up. Reason is not readily known. More to come.

Also, saying the dialect sounds central is wrong. If you listen to Ika or Ukwuani dialect as a non-speaker, you won’t understand anything. The Aniocha/Oshimili areas are similar to the central Igbo.
“We're not interested in introducing any big new conflicts into their relationship.We feel like they've been through the hard stuff, and we want viewers to get to see them in a more playful, lovey space.”

This Elsa thing is so funny to me.
Why are Millennials so afraid to go against the status quo?
Everyone is talking about how she should move smarter, not say things directly, play the long game…
As in the same things that have allowed abusers thrive????
Lmao
To be honest, I have been attempting to comprehend that statement ever since I saw it made by several people. What is it that you want him to understand ? That abusing someone is acceptable
"don't worry, with time you'll understand why your daddy beat your mummy"
I'm sorry but do y'all hear how INSANE you sound???? The TL has been driving me crazy all day. Wtf are you people talking about????
I miss when Christians used to refuse be unequally yoked with the world.
Nowadays, they attend worldly concerts and then complain that it was demonic. What happened to crusades??
They watch worldly films and shows and complain about sex. What happened to mountain Zion films?
The whole Mmesoma thing is making my skin crawl. I don’t know why we are acting like Jamb is a reputable institution free from error. Wasn’t it our prayer point when we were younger that Jamb doesn’t sell our result to the highest bidder? It’s just unfortunate what’s happening.
When they don't rep their culture well. Why won't they get insults like this. You will be planning your wedding but it's agbada you want to wear. They should continue.
The only reason why a Ghanaian would quote this picture with "???" is cos something really sinister is happening to the Igbo culture.
This is our Akwete, Igbo woven fabric. It's not Ghanaian Kente.
I don't know if there are still weavers but this is as Igbo as it gets!
This Igbo people village mansion thread is so absurd. It’s almost like you are trying to make a point but it’s just coming off as being ridiculous. Is it mansion at home that will help the economy? Let’s be serious.
One time, I saw the entire interview on TT, and it ruined my entire night.
I frequently wonder how their daughters felt when their mother talks about how she met their father.
I feel so bad about the management of Innosson honestly
@balamiisaac
and I made efforts to meet the chairman and I was going to talk to him about brand awareness, marketing and communications
With the awareness and attention around
@_Debbie_OA
, give me one good reason why...
A large portion of Nigerians do not think much of r*pe. It makes no difference how you depict the situation. There will be no indignation if the deed is not fatal(death).
My dad is such a sweet man. From dropping me at work because I was called in earlier than usual to running a bath for me because I was too tired to get out of bed. A wonderful man.
I recently completed watching the AlRawabi School for Girls series on Netflix, and although I strongly believe in getting even with bullies, the honor killing of Layan by her brother leaves a bitter taste.
I think of my brother every day. What would happen if he steps out to get basic stuff and we never see him again? I am tired of expressing my hate for this country.
A former colleague told me how her cousin went out one night to buy Suya down the street and they didn't see him again. They searched everywhere, couldn't find him. Year 1 passed, year 2, year 3, I believe it was in year 4 they decided to declare him dead and "buried" him. Year 5
That’s why I hate those “why didn’t he speak up” tweets because he did. They said he was intoxicated & should not be taken seriously.
It is blowing up now because he died.
Why I’m so sad about Mohbad’s death is that he was speaking up at every point of this oppression. He was tweeting, making videos, calling them out, wrote a petition, sang about the situation but the world was quiet.
It gets worse with every video. He really suffered. 💔
This is an eccentric movie with an interesting plot that offers a visually stunning and intellectually stimulating experience. Willem Dafoe's, Mark Ruffalo's, and especially Emma Stone's acting was phenomenal. I hope she wins an Oscar for this.
I detest the sound of generators. My flatmate is fed up with me since I would much rather stay in the dark than put up with that noise all night. Regardless of how unsettling, the government—rather than the neighbours attempting to find some sort of comfort—is the true enemy.
This year, I lost myself.
You suffer from being in an environment that plays havoc with your psyche. I'm hoping to get my mojo back.
If I never get there, I will settle for the tranquility I currently enjoy.
She talks exclusively about modelling and her family. Never once has she pushed her religion or anything like that. You people have been on her neck ever since they discovered her husband is a Mormon. How do you know what she markets when you aren't even active on TT?
@disego_rae
@EN_Griffin
She’s part of the “trad wife” content trend and publicity arm of Mormonism. She markets her life of early marriage and motherhood of many children with complete financial dependency and days filled with domestic labor and social isolation as effortless, happy, and ideal.
