One of the things that gives me joy is having the privilege to actualize my dreams. Recall that while I approached my 40th birthday last year, I announced that my team and I planned to shelve the idea of having a big birthday bash. I instead chose to work with my team and friends to give tuition-free trainings in diverse Aviation fields to young Nigerians. This scholarship aims to give those who dare to dream the audacity of hope to fly, where they would by their own endeavors be crawling. I have received many thought-provoking feedbacks from the beneficiaries. Some of them made me so emotional that I knew the goal to reach the deserving young Nigerians had been reached even before the program began. Few days ago, that dream of training 160 young Nigerians in their dream aviation careers began. The beneficiaries were split into two batches as we received Batch A on Monday. From the morning orientation class at their training school to the tour of 7Star Global Hangar, I ended the day with a proper chat with the beneficiaries in the company of our partners. The idea is that what took some of us in the aviation industry 15-20 years to achieve, my vision is to help my new friends accomplish in 5 years. I want to appreciate the amazing Isaac Balami Foundation team once again for the hard work they have put into this. I also appreciate our partners at 7Star Global Hangar, Leadstream Aviation and Aviatrix Hub. It is my hope that these young Nigerians that are currently being empowered will find it in their hearts to pay what they have received forward and consequently, Nigeria will be better for all of us. I’m glad to announce thay the list of the successful applicants of the Isaac Balami Foundation(IBF) 2024 Aviation Scholarship is out. Out of 814 applications, we’ve selected 160 outstanding Nigerian youths ready to embark on their aviation journey. In celebration of my 40th birthday, this initiative aims to empower the next generation of aviation professionals in Nigeria. Training starts in February 2025—more details to follow. Dear Obidients, I write this open letter to you all with mixed feelings. One with gratitude regarding what we collectively achieved as one big family. And the other with sadness that I have to leave the ranks officially. I wanted to announce that I have officially left the Labour Party to rejoin the APC. My decision is not far fetched. I can not continue to be equally yoked with the present party leadership that will not respect our collective will as a people. I do not want to bore you all with the sacrifices that I made two years ago. With my life, team and business. Greater sacrifices have even been made by other people in the Labour Party, and it is for a good cause. Brothers and sisters, there are issues bedeviling our dear Nation and the goal is to save Nigeria. I was a member of the APC and back in the years, I always enjoyed playing a role, no matter how small it was. Putting Nigeria first in everything I did. Perhaps, it is a niche I have carved for myself. And one thing that will always stand out for me is our collective goal to make Nigeria great. It doesn't matter the political divide. I must admit that I have enjoyed the resilience of Obidients and that energy is what I will continue to use to play my part in serving Nigeria and her people. I have personally informed HE Peter Obi of my decision and I am openly appreciating him for the opportunity to serve during the 2023 Presidential campaign. I also appreciate my team and lastly, I appreciate you my dear friends. God bless the Obidient Movement. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
