@Rgt71Robert @CottrellStephen @bishopSarahM Has it been sorted? Wonder if it's something that could be raised in a point of order

@Fran_USN_Ret @fedcalderon7 @metathomist Yes, but the rich man will know what the situation was when he died and so wanted to warn them against his fate. Lazarus likely knew the family too as he lay at his gate. It doesn't suggest any new knowledge. All I'm saying is the passage doesn't really provide a W.

@Fran_USN_Ret @fedcalderon7 @metathomist Yes, and which bit do you think specifically says they can hear and know?

@Fran_USN_Ret @fedcalderon7 @metathomist Though the point of them not being aware of what's happening on earth, I would say is less clear-cut scripturally than Fed made out.

@Fran_USN_Ret @fedcalderon7 @metathomist Though the point in that story was about rising from the dead, not some spiritual encounter of Lazarus. May not be the W you think it is.

@2D0XPS According to Mohler's take on triage it can only really be either first order or second order, both orders effectively prevent fellowship and create a divide. Problem is those arguing for LLF/PLF seem to understand it as a third-order issue which is evidently not the case.

@KingCrawa @thevicarswife @2D0XPS It does, if you object to wafers due to the individuality then you should object to individual cups. I think there is a nuance though of those who pour from a shared vessel. Can't stand those disposable shot glass and wafer combos some church use.

@thevicarswife @KingCrawa @2D0XPS I can never understand those who argue vehemently for alcoholic wine as the only option but use wafers. Seems quite inconsistent.

@2D0XPS The fact we can make grape juice which doesn't ferment now, would mean it is alc. free and fruit from the vine. It's more like the question of whether baptism in a font is equal to baptism in flowing waters. Or baptism in treated water is equal to baptism in water from a river.

@2D0XPS I'm not sure anybody is lying about what the Lord's Supper is. And as stated, the pastoral provision is vastly different. One is providing to someone in repentance, the other is encouraging them to continue without repentance.

@2D0XPS You could, maybe tenuously, argue that the institution of the Lords supper also doesn't actually mention wine. Jesus only mentions he won't drink from the fruit of the vine (which we can now make unfermented). The emphasis is on the cup rather than on the substance within.
