The death toll from COVID when Biden took office was 400,000. Now it is 1.4 million. That is catastrophic mass death.
Its going to haunt me forever that the vast majority of Biden's critics on the left absolutely do not give a shit about his catastrophic mismanagement of the pandemic that vastly overprioritized restoring profits at the expense of hundreds of thousands of vulnerable lives.

I lost my best friend in 2019. We were really young. I was 25. He was 24. Hanging out with a terminally ill young person taught me that instead of “we’re going to die, let’s not care about anything” we can say “if we’re going to die, let’s care about each other until the end.”.
I put up a poll on Instagram asking people why they're watching my stories but not masking. Multiple people have said "I don't care what happens to me anymore" and multiple people have said "the world is ending and I want to have fun.".

The mayor of Philly is forcing all city employees back to the office full time, & my friend is the ADA coordinator for the mayor’s office & says it has been a nightmare because so many people who worked remotely now have to request ADA accommodations to continue working remotely.

Masks aren’t a replacement for clean air & clean air isn’t a replacement for masks. We need layers of protection. In my classroom, I have 2 portable air purifiers, a corsi rosenthal box, & I wear a high quality mask. If one layer should be flawed, others will be back up.
Lately I've heard people say it's politically unappetizing to talk about masks -- shift focus to clean air. Masks shouldn't be political the same way seatbelts shouldn't be. We need clean air, but that might not be enough if someone coughs on you . We need it all 😷🌬️.

Wearing masks is a long term shift in behavior that we need to make as climate emergency escalates & the air becomes less safe to breathe & pandemics continue unmitigated. One way we normalize masking in our house was to install hooks by the front door to store masks.
