Great day birding in Cambs. Lots to see including 2 Black Redstarts, leucistic/albino Great Black-backed Gull, 6 Caspian Gulls, Brambling, 2 Bewick's, Swans, 6 Cranes, 8 Woodcock and a male Hen Harrier! Cambs year list on 101. @CambsBirdClub

Hemmed in by fog and traffic on the M25 en route home from Cornwall, the thought of connecting with the Yellow Warbler seemed a dim and distant prospect. However it showed beautifully this afternoon and so did the Scops Owl at Broadstairs! Nice to see @RobsBirding and @TSbirding.

Good Christmas Eve birding around Penzance. Lots to see including two very showy Great Northern Divers, and a Kingfisher at Newlyn harbour, Yellow Browed Warbler and a Siberian Chiffchaff at Sandy Cove and a stunning male Vagrant Emperor at Mousehole!

Good to get some birding done on the way down to Cornwall on Monday. Breaks up the long journey. Kentish Plover at Burnham and Merlin, Water Rail, Cranes and lots of wildfowl at Greylake!
