God is love; God is good; God is truth; God is just. So when I say I believe in God I mean I believe in Love, and Truth, and Justice. I can’t know that God is conscious to hear our prayers, or even such an entity consciousness can be applied to, and yet, I believe.

Twitter Thomists are an absolute scourge. That being said, I’m off to go read some Aquinas!
@dsaorthocaucus As someone who just had a giant fight with a Twitter Thomist who said that jacking off is a bigger evil than rape, this thread was incredibly healing.

@PAHoyeck @TheOutsiderHum1 @JoshuaLWatson There needs to be certain traits and conditions of those traits, and also organizational facts for the epistemological structure of the universe. I just think there’s lots of different considerations we can’t account for.

@daisyldixon With the invention of satellite television human kind found themselves faced with 500 channels and still nothing good on TV. I believe we are seeing an analogous problem.

@PAHoyeck @TheOutsiderHum1 @JoshuaLWatson I’m not so sure. I’m not saying God isn’t all powerful/ All knowing, I’m saying the scope of impossibility is larger than we initially assumed. And it’s important to remember everyone assumes some level is metaphysically impossible.
