This was a month and a half after the 2001 earthquake that hit my town, Bhuj. I was 13 years old.
We used to sleep in tents because we were still scared aftershocks. During the day, I would keep going into the house to see the score and rush back out.
I did this all day.
Eden Gardens, the morning of March 14th, 2001. Two men walked in with the score at 254-4. 90 overs later, they returned unbeated with the score reading 589-4.

Spent 30 minutes teaching our househelp how to read a passbook and how to tally salary credits from 2 other homes she works at.
