The ‘whisper network’ exists in
@SeneddWales
- where female staffers warn each other of who to avoid, and our complaints system is so inadequate compared to Westminster, they dont feel confident in complaining. No independent system here to deal with sexual harassment & bullying.
It’s taken seven years for parliament to introduce a power to tackle the risk MPs arrested for serious sexual or violent offences present - a risk most other workplaces suspend staff on as standard. It won’t end the abuse but it is a tool to help tackle it.

, never easy but will help many women in similar situations understand that these behaviours are not normal, are abusive and should not be acceptable or tolerated.
No one deserves to feel like a shadow of their former self.
This can happen to anyone. Inevitably there are barriers to leaving a relationship, but I hope speaking out about my experiences gives others the courage to take the first step too.
