What party am I in if I’m:
Pro-choice
Pro gun control
Against tax increases
Pro-vaccine
Against lockdowns
Pro death penalty
Against genocide
Pro-car (I believe CC is irreversible)
Anti-big cities
Anti-train
Supportive of the LGBT community
Anti-Trump and Biden
@xriskology
I see a lot of this on here, but never any specifics. Like what exactly do you think will happen and when? Put your neck out there and make some predictions. We’ve been hearing “we’re doomed” since the freaking 80’s and really not a lot has changed in day to day life.
@Paultheheretic
I grew more conservative with age, mainly because I started caring more about what’s best for my own family vs everyone else, which I think is normal. Then Trump came along and I said “no way in hell am I gonna be associated with THIS”. Now I don’t know who to vote for 🤷🏻♂️

@freelancegoon
I haven’t yet but I made it through my son fighting off brain cancer at age 7 without needing therapy so I think I’d be just fine.

Maybe he should try not leaving his skates and he wouldn’t have to worry about flying head first into the boards. I’ve played and coached hockey for years. This was a dirty play, hands-down.
@nikicaga
Big cities are miserable places. I lived in Chicago for 43 years. We escaped to NC in the suburbs of Raleigh and it was the best decision we ever made.
@PhilWalkable
It’s so wild to me that you people think folks escape big cities because they want cheaper housing. I moved from Chicago to suburban NC where it’s more expensive because I wanted safety for my family and some personal space.
@mattlindner
After living there for 43 years, I’m so glad we moved to NC last summer. Screw those winters and everything being insanely crowded everywhere you go. I needed my space.
@Baizhijie
@LiveFastSimp
That’s not the reason a lot of the time. After 43 years in Chicago we moved to a suburb of Raleigh last year, and our house is more expensive. This area is full of transplants from miserable big northern cities. We pay more to live here because it’s much better.
@foxyjewishmama
I think the obsession some people have with the city they live in is utterly weird in general. Like some of y’all make it your whole identity 😂
@urbanismguy
@foxyjewishmama
Target is 5 minutes from my house wtf do you think the Raleigh area is? I’ve driven to the Cali coast. It’s beautiful but not worth the cost of living there.
@IntroOfCoffee
@Paultheheretic
I haven’t read to deeply into them but in general I’ve always disagreed with Libertarians and Conservatives about gun control and more recently their stances on vaccine mandates
@ARColeburn
Moved here from Chicago last summer after 43 years. By far the best decision we’ve ever made. Beaches, mountains, tons of biotech jobs, excellent (and cheap!) universities. What’s not to love?
@BrokenDaffodil
@robynasaldino
Yes because those people are being forced to go to her concerts. Maybe, just maybe, the overwhelming majority of us are sane enough to know that Covid is no longer something to be worried about.
@travis_robert
Cry about it. Big cities are miserable places. I finally escaped Chicago after 43 years and moved to the suburbs of Raleigh last year. The quality of life is so much better here. We couldn’t be happier.
@paulapoundstone
So be it. At least I’ll be able to set an example for my kids that nothing is worth compromising your morals. Biden funded genocide, full stop.
@urbanismguy
@foxyjewishmama
Thanks man, I’ve definitely been fortunate. Beyond the money I absolutely love what I do in regards to saving the lives of our patients. It’s a very rewarding field.

I went to an all boys catholic high school in the 90’s on the south side of Chicago. I saw mfs get choked against walls by teachers. But on the other hand I ended up in a job making over $300k a year so…🤷🏻♂️
@BKLYNRob
@sam_d_1995
I lived in Chicago for 43 years before escaping to NC last summer. I despised public transit there, especially the L. I’d rather sit in traffic for hours vs being crammed in a disgusting train.
@mm_donohue
@RexHuppke
I mean I don’t want Trump either but having a court ruling prevent him from winning sure doesn’t sound like democracy to me. Let’s just beat him with votes maybe?
@SixDeadWisemen
@Volcanicthought
That’s…not true. Survival of the fittest simply means that those members of a species who live longer and procreate more end up passing on their genes/traits more than others. The “survival” part refers to those genes/traits, not individuals.
