Patchy fog will continue to be possible mainly E of I-95 this morning. Otherwise, mostly sunny and mild today with highs in the mid 70s. Temps cool tonight with lows in the low 40s inland (upper 40s along the coast). Patchy fog is possible again tonight for some.

Happy Friday! It's a chilly start to the day with temperatures in the 30s (inland) and frost. Temperatures warm to around 70 by this afternoon with plentiful sunshine. There is an increased fire danger for the Maryland Eastern Shore today due to low humidity/breezy conditions.

Another chilly day today with highs around 60F. Apart from scattered showers along the coast this morning, clouds clear from W to E through the day. The coldest night of the season (so far) is on the way tonight as lows drop into the mid-upper 30s inland with frost possible.

Cool today with highs in the upper 50s to around 60F. Scattered light showers are possible this morning across SE VA/NE NC and again this evening. Lows tonight in the upper 30s W and mid-upper 40s E. Some patchy frost is even possible across the Piedmont by Thu morning.

GOES satellite imagery shows mostly clear skies across the area with a bit of wildfire smoke aloft. This should result in decent comet viewing conditions this evening. Look west 45 min or so after sunset. The comet should be about two fists at arm's length to the right of Venus

The aurora has been spotted here in Wakefield! There's even a faint red glow visible to the naked eye. 😍
