Thanks for the support Cara! Weekly £30 EMA payments haven't risen since 2004, and eligibility thresholds haven't been updated since 2013, meaning successful EMA applications have HALVED in the past decade. 📉 Sign our petition ✍️
Thank you to @NUS_USI for flagging the dire need to increase ‘Educational Maintenance Allowance’ (EMA) to support our students and the financial pressures that they face. I’ve asked the Education Minister to touch on any details or discussions he has had with the Economy Minister on EMA in his response to the Learning Pathways Debate today in Parliament Buildings.
