The BBC has done itself more harm in the past week than at any time since Jimmy Savile. It misreported an anti-antisemitism march, banned staff from taking part and blamed Israel for delaying the return of its kidnapped children. BBC News is not to be trusted.
Message from my Synagogue:
Dear Community,
Unfortunately the Synagogue was daubed with anti-Semitic graffiti last night. e were not the only ones - this occurred in at least 12 other locations in Hampstead and Belsize Park.
The Police, Camden Council and CST have been informed
The BBC, with its false report of an Israeli attack on a rocket hospital, unlocked latent UK antisemitism and did untold harm to British Jews. The perpetrators of that lie are still reporting for the BBC.
BBC says: 'Organisers estimated 60,000 took part' in today's march against anti-semitism. Everyone heard the organisers announce 105,000. Just not the BBC.

My daughter caught Covid while her Doctor husband was on hospital duty. Alone and sick, she cared for 3 small children. She did not even tell her parents for fear we might rush over. She recovered, with dignity. Dominic Cummings disgraced himself.

Zubin Mehta: We have just heard from the Israel Philharmonic that they have woken Zubin up. He is alive and well, thank God. The previous report was from an LA Phil account that had apparently been hacked
@CliveMyrieBBC
You have to wonder why a competent BBC presenter feels a need to mock technical knowledge and deprecate expertise, the more so when he can read music himself. He probably doesn't mean to do it. He is playing to a populist gallery.
Someone tell me why
@BBCNews
is leading with a lost sub with 5 on board and nothing more about the
hundreds who died in the sea off Greece. Major BBC humanity lapse
George Steiner, who died today, defined Mahler's Vienna as the crucible of modern culture and post-1918 Weimar culture as 'dancing on the edge of a volcano'. Good quips, and true.
A word about judgement: My daughter caught Covid while her doctor husband was on hospital duty. Alone and sick, she cared for 3 small children. She did not tell her parents for fear we might put ourselves at risk. She recovered, with dignity. Dominic Cummings disgraced himself.
From ACE chair who cut Gly Touring, WNO and more: 'We must incentivise domestic touring – and preserve the cycle of refreshment and renewal that it creates.'
Hopeless.
Deeply distressed at the loss of Lord Sacks. The best read, most intellectual of Chief Rabbis, he was also a warm, engaging conversationalist, happy to explore music, arts and literature on the walk home from shul.
I have been blocked from posting on Facebook for 3 days. It is OK to deny the Holocaust on Facebook, says Mark Zuckerberg, but not OK to show an opera scene with partly exposed breasts.

Many of the worst antisemites in 1930s Germany, UK and France were university lecturers. They were out once more on our streets yesterday
The first record Jonathan Sacks chose on BBC's Desert Island Discs was Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde. It speaks volumes for his sensitivity, musicality and boundless curiosity. His death today at 72, his mind lively to the last, is a terrible loss for humankind.
This BBC report comes dangerously close to glorifying Hamas, calling its men 'fighters'. Men who kill unarmed women and children are known as terrorists. Except at the BBC. Read with circumspection.
