Let us get one thing straight. Y'all's vocal Trinity dont dance because they don't have the agility and control to maintain their vocals with intense choreography. Beyoncé doesn't dance to compliment a lack of vocal ability. She dances and sings because she can dance and sing.
I’m so thankful Whitney existed. The music industry wouldn’t be the same without her. She was the embodiment of everything a star would strive to be, so naturally. The biggest phenomenon of popular vocal music.
Here’s Whitney displaying a flute-like agility with her FULL voice. And this wasn’t an experimental studio take, or a falsetto-ish excuse of a voice. This is a performance from a two-hour long show where her mic stayed ON.
It’s the fact you have look for not-the-very-best pictures of Christina to put it against edited pictures of Britney and your girl still look a mess smkamskamskaz
This will always be iconic to me cause this was her first album, and they had her with a ponytail so small you’d think she had her head shaved. This would be a risk to some of your faves who need to rely on big hair to conceal their ugliness, but not Whitney.
Absolutely the best voice of popular music. Nobody else would be able to gather an entire nation as Whitney did here. The US government was in the wrong, but Whitney was in the right and God was on her side.
Whitney listened to a demo for only a week, went to studio and gave the record exactly what it needed in one or a couple takes. Now imagine if she actually took the time to perfect the record over and over. We really only hear 1/3 of Whitney’s genius in her discography sakaossaok
The fact that Britney has all this success and yet her stans are so insecure about Christina and she has y’all collecting receipt tweets skoksaoksakosasa
That’s a fair opinion. They’re definitely tied in terms of vocal technique and skills — but Whitney’s voice was such a pure gift that, to me, she’s the greatest I know.
While I agree that Whitney could have been more experimental with her discography, it’s a reach to say she had a TERRIBLE album. But, also, the point of Whitney’s discography and career it’s that they are the golden standard and definite template of the Pop/R&B vocal sound.
Notice how that belted note and that head note have about the same qualities. Such a perfectly crafted voice, and I don’t even think she was intentionally trying that lol
Police have arrested 27 yr-old teacher, Re’Kwon Smith on charges of ‘Battery with substantial harm,’ after he beat a minor student for calling him a racial slur.
Happened at Valley High School in Vegas.
Smith remains in jail on a $9K bond.
NO EXCUSE JUSTIFIES THIS BRUTALITY!
Whitney’s vocal control was nearly inexplicable, cause how did she sound so even while switching registers so quickly and with a full tone. There was pretty much no gaps in her voice.
Her videography wasn’t that bad, tbh. Not as creative as Madonna’s, but Whitney was so stunningly beautiful and had such a graceful presence that we didn’t need much.
Whitney was a trained gospel singer, and one that had her mic ON for more than two hours. Your hypothetic claims have no substance to this kind of argument.
Comparing a raw singer, that took no training to a singer that sharpened her skill and trained to be one of the most skilled singers of all time is insane.
Beyoncé can sing all of Whitney’s song but Whitney can’t sing 30% of Beyoncé’s discography.
Whitney put so much meaning to everything she sang while giving us virtuosity and that’s a more rare combination of talent in popular music than people realize. Phyllis Hyman is another one.
“Don't Cry For Me” by Whitney Houston - live at the Commitment to Life AIDS in 1994.
The fact that they chose to put this song at the end of the biopic made me cry. Sorry Whitney, but I cry for you...💜
Whitney truly had one of the most agile voices in the industry, cause the way she would use her voice at full force and still quickly scale up and down is INSANE. Most singers have to lighten their voices up to gain agility.
Why do these dancing hoes want to be important so bad? If Whitney, Mariah and Celine made massive success without needing to dance, then that means dancing is not that all important. Nobody gives a fuck whether they can dance or not.
Mind you, 98% of these models don’t represent actual brazilian beauty. They’re Italian, Swedish, German or maybe Portuguese, but Brazilian they are not.
Beyoncé can sing all of Whitney’s songs but Whitney can even sing “Love On Top” lmao 😂 not to talk of singing it while dancing on stage like Beyoncé does 🤣😂😂😂 Spare me the nostalgic delusions

This is true. Likewise, Mariah has relied on dubbing and lipsyncing her entire career and she’s never been a great live singer, so there’s that.
And yet straight black men will gladly side with the same patriarchal ideology that punishes them instead of standing besides black women and black LGBTQ+ folks.
THIS explains why BM have been disproportionately incarcerated, why they achieve the lowest levels of educational success, y their social mobility is the most limited, and why narratives are manipulated to make it seem as though these issues stem from inherent flaws in Black men
One is the greatest Black politician ever, who was once labelled as a terrorist. The other is the greatest Black singer ever, who was once labelled as a sellout.
Heroes are always misunderstood.
Her vocal power was still there ! We know that the last years of her life were difficult musically, but don't you have something better to do than take it out on a dead person ?
