As a high school teacher, in 2022 I attended a “professional learning workshop” by “Talking the Talk Healthy Sex Ed” where we were told it was our job to “challenge cisnormativity” at every opportunity, lest we harm our students. This means teaching children exactly what Phil said in the original post. There were kindergarten teachers in the session. The session leader provided resources to use in the classroom. These resources were developed across all age ranges.
