There is an enormous difference between being "schooled" in the mechanics of learning to read and children actually enjoying books. Will this initiative address the latter, I wonder?

We still have a long way to go
My teammate has a male student teacher. It is unbelievably precious watching the boys follow him around in awe. This is the first time in almost 20 years we’ve had a male student teacher for 1st grade and I wish it was more commonplace.

@moonrakerteach @Julespg Put it this way - I would suggest this is certainly something to hilight to Ofsted when providing feedback on their proposals. It would seem bizarre that this thought had not occurred to them already.
