Fun fact, if electron landed propulsively there would be no gas generator exhaust that you see on the left side of the exhaust plume. This is cause the Rutherford engine combustion cycle does not use a gas generator, all pumps are electrically driven so all gasses exit the nozzle

Whenever I saw that video of an engine on the test stand in McGregor TX fire for a few seconds at a pretty serious gimbal angle, i suspected this was the plan. I never saw confirmation this was the plan though. Now we all know!

My grandpa asked me how this rig would move if the raptor engine lit. Assuming the combined weight of cyber truck, the raptor engine, and the trailer are around 10,000lbs, the rig would experience about 60gs of acceleration and would reach mach 1 in just over half a second.

I ran the numbers with nearly empty propellant tanks and got a similar result to yours. The idea of this thing crushing itself like a soda can from acceleration is comical to me.

On this train of thought, imagine space tug starship with no sea level engines. Heck imagine space tug booster with no sea level engines. You can do some crazy stuff when you delete earth gravity, re-entry, landing, and aerodynamic drag from the equation.
