Child walks in late? Me: Morning, Iβm so glad youβre here. π Child forgets their kit / wearing trainers instead of shoes? Me: Itβs not the end of the world, remember them tomorrow. π Child going on holiday? Me: How exciting but weβll miss you. Guilting a child isnβt helpful.

@LeeBraganza Iβm fuming youβre 36 - I thought you were younger than me and now I believe I am, in fact, haggered at 36!! π«π€£π€¦πΌββοΈ

@Emma_Turner75 My worry is the schools allowing this or, perhaps worse, the schools who have no idea this is happening. I donβt think itβs professional, unless itβs about sharing best practise and all permissions have been sought.

@theeducakers Ah, love this! A tough one for me today and this has cheered me up no end - I particularly love that youβve adapted it and made it your own. ππ»

@greeborunner @dave_mcpartlin I agree. I donβt think any of us can really comment without knowing the context of a school. I went to a really tough secondary, and they had to be tough on behaviour, or else it would have been hell to attend for the majority of kids. Primary is also a different kettle of fish.

@redgierob Perhaps, but Iβd also be keen to limit what schools can do commercially. Sharing our curriculums and resources shouldnβt be about making excessive amounts of money, it should be about improving education for all. I hate how expensive lots of these subscriptions are.

@redgierob Fair point - this doesnβt seem right to me either. This needs legislation. What a con. I donβt know what the answer is tbh, but it all feels wrong.

@redgierob And I want to be clear, Iβm not saying you arenβt excellent. Im sure you are, Rob. I am not meaning to be personal in anyway.

@redgierob True, but I donβt think privately owned subscription services profiting can be compared to a school profiting though, and Little Wandle is a not-for-profit organisation. I donβt think a limited company and a not-for-profit have the same level of conflict.

@redgierob But how do you judge the efficacy of a scheme? Being popular and being impactful arenβt the same. Without a proper QA process, Iβd find it difficult if a subscription service were involved. Add in the issue of profiting from it and I just donβt feel comfortable with it at all.

@Janroweljmu But whatever framework we end up with, we need the best people implementing it, so I donβt think this narrative is helpful. It puts off some of the best potential inspectors, with current experience of the challenges we face as schools and educators, from getting involved. 2/2

@antJP01 @redgierob Absolutely this - get into the most successful schools (across a range of school contexts) and look for common threads.
