Seems to me that what we want more than anything else is to be loved for the core soul we are, loved and respected in a way that is not conditional on our being or performing in an acceptable way. We want love, deep love, the love of family, the love that sees beyond our flaws and quirks! I don't know you but I can respect and love you none the less. You are always redeemable in my eyes. There is nothing you can say or do that will change my deep love and respect I offer you free of charge. It is here if you are willing to accept it. Bc I know that by giving you this gift, a gift that cost me nothing, it might just heal you, and allow you to give that gift to everyone around you! Respect first, recognition that you belong here and deserve your space, and love, that boundless energy you should have experienced from your mom and dad. We were all born pure radiant beings, like this kid! Look at this boundless optimism, the mischievous smile. This is all of us all the time if we choose to accept it!

Gold has little value beyond jewelry and some industrial applications so what is it "real" value? If you were drowning, would you want gold or air? If you are hungry, food or gold? All value is relative and based on subjective value. In a global collapse, food, air, water and shelter will be much more valuable than gold IMO.
