Sorry for the qrt but this is something I’ve ALWAYS imagined, there’s no way Kethric couldn’t have known Durge was in the mind flayer colony given all the tabs he kept on Balthazar’s work. He was 100% in on durge’s downfall, esp considering the fact that when Durge returns he++
Someone brought up that Ketheric could’ve been in on Orin’s plan to take out durge. So, in my hc anyway, that memory durge has of him yelling was the moment that he snapped and Orin could tell so she used that to her advantage.
