@APPictures9 Universal and StudioCanal used to share a parent company (Vivendi) with several Canal movies being released by Universal or Focus Features. So it would actually be quite fitting.

@mavericksmovies He probably still would have won because of Gravity's crafts category sweep, but Emmanuel Lubezki's win was clearly something people were waiting for. He would even win three years in a row. Surprisingly, he's worked sparingly since then.

@ChloeMedin54963 @Westbroo6Keaton @TennyUnderscore Although the date at the beginning is a few days after Sponge Out of Water's release. Monster Trucks was originally scheduled for May 2015, before it was suddenly delayed, so maybe this was intended for that.

@JeffMovieMan @AKaun6899 Like I said at the other social media place a while back, I'm surprised Universal isn't putting the new Jurassic sequel in June and their big family film in July, since that release strategy has worked for them twice before.

@MovieNumbers I know this isn't the first time I've asked this, but I'm genuinely curious why the yearly chart showing the calendar grosses updates so much faster than this one: This also happens on Box Office Mojo.

@kristapley I remember some people online saying "it's over for Anora" after the Globes, even though this is the same group that only gave two acting prizes to Everything Everywhere All at Once two years ago and gave CODA nothing before that.

@OzPardo1 @tonygoldmark Even the Green Party leaders in Canada and Europe recognised she was a grifter designed to disrupt the American election and help elect a President with a terrible environmental track record and said she should drop out.

We're now at the point of tonight's #AnnieAwards where if the category has either "Arcane" or "The Wild Robot" nominated, you know what's winning.

I feel like "The Wild Robot" will win a lot of #AnnieAwards tonight. Already won two and I assume more are on the way.

@EvanFer29213130 YouTube clickbaiters said Disney was going under after their disappointing 2023...only for the studio to have a fantastic 2024. Even if Snow White flops, Thunderbolts and Lilo & Stitch are potential hits right around the corner.

@moviebuffmel90 Hollywood has had this fear lately of thinking people won't pay for "half a movie." Across the Spider-Verse removed Part 1 and the latest Mission Impossible did it after its home release. But in the movie itself, the title still says "Wicked Part 1"

@mavericksmovies I think there needs to be a way to differentiate certain types of AI. Generative AI is the bad one that steals images and words. While "Dune" used a type of program to speed up the process of making eyes blue, which is not a new thing in VFX.
