Microsofts Xbox has reported they have reached 120 million monthly active dwarfing PlayStations 102 million monthly active users, I really dont believe Microsofts Xbox needs Activision Blizzard IP to compete with Sony not when Xbox is attracting more users.

The judge however is spot on, Microsofts strategy moving forward is to buy up the most successful publishers for their IP.
Then locking them down to their ecosystem, weakening their rivals.

Timed exclusivity of individual games is not equivalent to buying an entire publisher and removing their whole portfolio from its competitors.

The Series S and X combo was meant to corner the PS5 in both price and power. On paper, it was a solid business strategy but I think he underestimated the brand power of the PS5. PS5s are like Iphones, everybody wants them.

We need a remake but there's also countless opportunity to explore prequels.
Dart went on a 5 year quest for revenge before the main game.
