I don’t know who needs to hear this but I need then to stop plugging Eurocentric planning ideas in Africa and expecting them to work. E.g. cycling works in the Netherlands for various reasons, can’t expect the same thing to to be replicated in SA. Maybe at neighbourhood level

The nsfas issue touches me so much because gosh, would I be where I am academically if it wasnt for the help of nsfas? We cannot lose nsfas. It literally gives a lot of under privileged children a shot at changing their home situation at a later time.

There is spatial inequality and separatist planning but residential roads everywhere are designed the same way. Rondebosch, the roads are even smaller. But this shouldnt take away from the fact that people who live in townships spend an average of 1 hour commuting to work daily.

My sister started at CPUT 3 weeks after classes officially started, we scrambled to book her flights to go, had accommodation challenges and had to sleep for over a week at the student centre in D6. Today she shows me her transcript with nothing but distinctions 😭😭

I’m 28, I have NQF 9. no kids, no bf. I pay my own rent and live on my own. Mom wants me at home everyday at 7pm. I’m at her house to visit. 😭 i would understand if I was leaving her with grandkids to take care of, but she will not let me be. My sisters continue to lunda 😭
