Phish finished their mind-blowing run at Sphere- most coveted, technologically advanced venue in the world.
Push notifications from the AP, CBS interviews, CNN deep dives, Drew Carey religious experiences, Stubhub more expensive than T Swift.
Put this band in the hall of fame.
This April, Phish will embark on an 8-date Spring Tour beginning with two shows at Seattle's Climate Pledge Arena, followed by three-nights at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, and culminating with the band's first three-night run at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
As a hillbilly from rural Appalachia I feel compelled to share the fact that likely Trump VP pick JD Vance's 'Hillbilly Elegy' is one of the most disgusting, backward books I've ever had the displeasure of skimming.
Just dumbass down-punching bullshit page after page after page.
Last night was launch of Phase 1 of the Gamehendge extended cinematic universe.
The Sphere is Phase 2 where Phish broadens the story with Icculus, Axillas, Kung, and Esther.
Dover festival is Phase 3 when the story culminates with Harpua: Endgame and guess what, Poster lives!
Bring your kids to as many Phish concerts as possible so that when they get older they'll rebel against you by having a stable career and making responsible decisions.
It's finally finished:
Every Phish 4.0 Split Open & Melt jam spliced together (19). 3 hours 17 minutes, all jams.
Put this on before you go to bed if you want to have the worst dreams of your entire life. Not for the faint of heart.
Thread of thoughts:
After tonight Phish will have played Madison Square Garden 19 times in the last 19 months.
Their next gig is a sold out residency at MFing Sphere.
Love them or hate them, it's time to put this band in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Loce me some Goose,but holy hell Eggy might be the jam band raising their ceiling fastest.
This is the middle of a 26 minute cover of Elton John's "Bad Side of the Moon". This masterpiece rolls through multiple key changes, peaks and grooves like only the *very* best (Ph and GD)
@itsJeffTiedrich
Is he? I honestly don't think it works like that anymore. You have to either resign or be forcibly removed and I doubt either of those are going to happen.
Phish Mondegreen sets were moved to 6:30 because the encores each night are 3rd sets with a different sit in they've been vetting.
Thursday: Rick
Friday: Derek Trucks
Saturday: Billy Strings
Sunday: Kid Rock
@brookswheelan
The illustrator Stephen Gammell is responsible for millions, literally millions, of nightmares.
Even today I genuinely find his art to be the most terrifying and unsettling I've ever seen. GOAT
The funniest banter I can remember.
Trey and Fishman tell the story of why only Trey and Mike have been to every Phish concert.
"I took LSD and got lost in the mountains."
@AndrewYang
I mean, you know the answer to this... They have parliamentary systems and also America has dozens of parties, they just don't win because we... don't have a parliamentary system.
My wife's supervisor on the phone with my wife: "So, weird question... have you ever heard of the band Phish? Well, I'm a big fan and we have two extra tickets to their show in Hartford, CT. Any interest in going wi-"
*Me bursting through the wall like the Kool-Aid man* : YES!!!

Correct, everywhere in Vermont looks and is exactly like this. I'm just some rando from Vermont that saw you'd post and walked out my front door.
Announcing The Spectrum ‘97, an all new 6-CD box set capturing two formative nights of Phish during their Fall ‘97 apex, mixed from the multitracks + mastered. The Spectrum ’97 was recorded live 12/2-12/3/97 in Philadelphia. Details below. Pre-order at
I know Phish doesn't care about our Tweets but hopefully someone important sees this one:
The mix was excellent last night, Page was crystal clear and most importantly we could actually hear Mike! Keep it this way
Cracker Barrel is the Waffle House of the white southern bourgeoisie.
Waffle House is open 24/7 and welcomes you with open arms no matter what.
Cracker Barrel glares at you while you browse overpriced knickknacks no one buys. Good fireplace though.
I thought Blaze On lyrics were "got your *night* shades on" and I am somewhat disappointed to learn that it is "nice" shades.
It always made me chuckle about the prospect of having a dedicated pair of sunglasses that are only worn at night.
Couldn't believe it, we were all in the bathroom line at Phish Sphere during Pillow Jets (was very long) and when I got to to the front Goose's Peter Anspach cuts the whole line and takes a stall.
I said "you can't do that!" and he just tweaked that stupid mustache and laughed.
Whoa, I've discovered how to look at Ticketmaster/Live Nation source code to see how many tickets remain in each section (including normally unspecified "lawns") and it feels like hacking.
Watching Broad City for the first time (loving it) and randomly during an episode Phish gets referenced about 20 times when it's discovered one of the main characters is a Phish head.
They then quote lyrics from Antelope and I Didn't Know and call Rift their best album.

@RottenInDenmark
Change each use of the word 'trans' to 'gay' and it all falls apart.
Utterly amazing that they can have the exactly same reaction to the 'new thing' every generation and think somehow, despite using the same arguments and taking points, this time is different and righteous.
The cheapest tickets (lawns) for the Phish tour opener at Great Woods are currently more expensive than the Dead and Company opener at *checks notes* Sphere.
Truly a world gone mad.
I am putting together the nastiest 4.0 evil Phish playlist, get ready.
A few thoughts:
1. Fall 2021 was absurdly insanely good. Like all time good.
2. 4.0 is 2.0 2.0
Can't fit it into a single clip (even 2, but what Phish finds within the psychedelic soup of the 12/29/23 Chalkdust Torture is a transcendent example of what I think of as the "4.0 sound".
Swirling, effect-laden hose disintegrating and cascading into jaw-dropping Type 2 moments
@Noahpinion
because it was "suppressed" which is why we're only hearing about it *checks notes* every day for the last 2 1/2 years.
Just imagine if people had heard about it slightly more, woulda mattered bigly
One of the coolest moments of my life- walking into the crowd at Mondegreen (not so) Secret Set as we find out this wasn't going to stay an ambient jam.
For 50 next minutes Phish played an astonishing musical epic I'll never forget!
@bungarsargon
@metal_gear88
@elonmusk
Lol, how do you think 'Blue Collar Workers' would react if their new boss (a trust fund kid with a messiah complex) came in and said "If you don't want to work twice as hard for the same amount of money and kiss my ring GFY"?
Probably... not positively?
Trey, backstage: Okay what if we play all of our most ridiculous songs tonight.
Rest of band: I mean, maybe if we space them out well enough?
Trey: No, all in a row in the first set.
@kenklippenstein
Also he complains once a week about immigration, somehow me thinks his 'underpopulation' complaints are only half of his true feelings about the matter.
This is exactly what it feels like when you start to trip and you feel like everyone is watching you.
Nice of Phish to recreate that experience for the handful people in attendance who were not already in the midst of that.
With Phish, Goose, and Billy Strings taking a flamethrower to venues, The Disco Biscuits / Umphreys continuing their career-long domination and up-and-coming acts like Eggy getting better every day...
Kinda feels like the jam scene is as good as it's been in my adult life (33).
Hyperbole be damned, the 11/17/97
#Phish
Denver Ghost peak is one of the single best things ever played by human beings... and it was improvised.
Happy 25th anniversary!
@zackbeauchamp
The main attack so far I've seen from the GOP is that *checks note* he personally changed the MN flag to look like Somalia's and lemme tell you... that's a weak initial attack.
They got nothin'
Fishman is an absolute animal in the Bangor Down With Disease.
This whole clip is just one jawdropping moment after another from the drummer.
What a unicorn of talent.
It ain't called
#Phish
for nothing.
