I wanted to share a 3D horror game that I've been making to practice 3D! Super WIP, but enjoy some pretty art

Most of the parents are probably 40s+ and never had seen AI generative art before. If you were unable to determine that it was AI art and therefore shady, how would you verify the legitimacy of an event? I'm sure they saw it through an ad on facebook
I wanted to post some cute pictures of my rat Sebi, she suddenly passed away a couple of weeks ago and my wife and I have missed her so much. Give rats some love people!
@YellowAfterlife
This has been my experience with it. It's a great engine improving all the time, but any time I want to learn more I find myself googling to no results and asking in the discord to no answers.
@ForsakenDabss
Game Jams are stressful but fun! Good experience to learn where you need to improve. I personally wouldn't do one alone because I'd probably get disheartened after a couple days and give up. But the most important thing is to scope as small as possible!
@ForsakenDabss
For an engine it just depends what you're most comfortable with, I would use GameMaker for 2D and Godot for 3D since they're great for quickly iterating and getting set up in minutes
@Soda_piggy
This version reminds me a lot of Eastward, much more visually complicated than the previous version. IMO looks better but seems like a lot more work, nice work!
@Legend_Ori
In my experience indie publishers are happy to start talking with any stage of a game (even the conceptual stage) but they won't really want to move forward without a full vertical slice demo and a precise plan of action for development.
@CodeRed_dev
It's a medieval dungeon crawler where you take on the role of a skilled warrior dwarf stuck in a mine, with online coop too. Partially just a project to practice 3D!
@freelancegames
I know a good amount of people who specifically buy games to get the achievements, or at least are disappointed when a game doesn't have them
@snakepixel
The term HD2D refers to a specific style, whereas 3D and billboards refer only to a couple techniques used in the style. Language will always evolve to be more convenient
@ehdolog
Personally I had a bit more fun with World, but I think Rise has more content and a lot of things from World. If you ever want to hunt together lmk!
