Saw a lot of patients with HFpEF in clinic the other day. Just curious, anyone have any good analogies to describe HFpEF to patients?

Sometimes I take a step back and think just how crazy some things we do are. Like let’s put a patient in vfib. That’s called defibrillation threshold testing. Oh and let’s intentionally stop a patients heartbeat. Yea that’s an AV node ablation.

@ecgandrhythmRoe It looks like LV strain pattern but given symptoms and ST elevations >2 mm I would treat as STEMI first and get echo later

@hraza222 @ross_prager Do you run into issues with cardiology? Might need L subclavian for permanent pacemaker. What about risk of pneumothorax? Most cardiology attendings stand at the side of the bed for right heart caths, so now I prefer side of the bed for R IJ access and use left hand.
