@waitbutwhy Hey Tim, read your million to Grahams number article - extremely well written. Look into Tree(3) - it is much much larger than G(G(64)) - a grahams number of layers in the G sequence. In fact even >> larger than G(G(G(G(G(....(64)...))))) with a grahams number of nested G's.

@AvidCommentator And this is a point - the Great Australian Dream isn't just about merely being able to outright own a home just before you pass away (difficult nowadays anyway) - the true Great Aussie Dream is about outright home ownership when you're still in your 'prime' (e.g. 40's/50's).

@matt_barrie Because they have somehow pulled off the hyper-absurd mental gymnastics and cognitive dissonance that allows them to think with a straight face that house prices are just a little bit on the high side as opposed to being utter jaw dropping batsh-t crazy.

@AvidCommentator Most politicians etc will think of every 'solution' under the Sun before they formulate and unapologetically publicly announce a plan to bring house prices down. It is like they put on a special pair of glasses to avoid seeing the elephant in the room.

@SpachusAus Good - but I'm still at a loss as to how it could be $975K (an utterly dumbfounded as to how it was once $1.2M). Does it have half a football field for a backyard? Is Davistown the most sought after place on the Central Coast? They are my only two possible explanations.

@NatedawgO7 What these people have yet to fully appreciate is that they are not independent citizens divorced from the country. If the country goes to sh-t (what faster way than unaffordable housing) then it will come back to bite them at the end of the day.

@ChrisEconomist It's funny how most politicians etc think up all these 'around the edges' schemes without formulating and unapologetically publicly announcing a plan to reduce house prices. It is like they are wearing special glasses to avoid seeing the elephant in the room.

@BikoKonstantin1 And this is what everyone 'benefiting' from ludicrous house prices needs to understand - they are not exempt. They are not independent citizens divorced from the country. If the country goes to sh-t then it will come back to bite them in the end.

@rationalaussie Yes, it's strange that most politicians etc will propose every 'solution' under the Sun other than to formulate and unapologetically announce a plan that will bring house prices down. It's like they put on some special glasses to avoid seeing the elephant in the room.

@TMFScottP As I like to say, politics isn't like football. If the two major parties aren't offering anything good enough then people should look elsewhere - unlike football, one shouldn't 'stick with' a party no matter how poor their performance is. This is the nation, not a game.

@BikoKonstantin1 Future historians won't know whether to laugh or cry when they research our current house price fiasco. However one thing is certain: the 'architects' of this crisis will be viewed as historical moral villains, criminally incompetent, or both - history won't judge them kindly.

@TRHLofficial Yes - Women doing themselves up like the Woman on the right often signal to Men that she could be 'high maintenance'. Also the Woman on the left is just as beautiful as the Woman on the right - possibly even more so.

@Dunder_viking I'm mostly in the centre of the political spectrum, however if what you are saying is true then this transcends the left/right divide. Free speech is a bedrock human right. I would rather be homeless and free then live in a mansion with my mouth shut.

@damienpahulu @bowtiedstocks Yes, but such an estimated value is nevertheless ridiculously overvalued - at least simply based off the picture that I see and nothing more. Simply based from what I can judge off the picture its absolute maximum value isn't one atom of a 5 cent coin over $600 000.

@barriecassidy As I say, politics isn't like a football game - if the two majors aren't offering anything good enough then one should look elsewhere - unlike where one supports their football team no matter how bad they might be doing. This is the nation, not a game.

@heresisted I should also just add that while I condemn all racial slurs, I don't believe any such matters should end up in court.

@bowtiedstocks Thanks for clarifying. Yes, indeed - future historians won't know whether to laugh or cry when they study Australia's current house price fiasco - but the 'architects' of it will be considered historical moral villains, criminally incompetent, or both.
