Libertarianism and liberalism once meant the same—freedom, individual rights, and limited government. But modern political activists have distorted their meaning, pushing them far from their original values. Our policy document outlines a clear vision for how the Australian government should function — returning to our roots. - Prosperity: - Family: - Freedom:

@Phillip_Mehler Completely inappropriate. Obviously had to be a government direction, and I want to know more about how this was possible.

@down_wet @OMGTheMess There were public book stores near temples with a NAZI section and I was searching for books about Homma Munehisa re candle sticks in the oldest placed I could find. There was lots of WW2 material - remember they were Allies in WW2.

@onestopaloeshop @SpambotX She says, though, that she would vote for them. Even as he asks her to clarify, they both speak, and she confirms she would vote yes (a little tricky to hear). I didn’t see how it was deceptively edited. The question was a surprise, so we probably got an honest answer.

@C_Featherstone @craigkellyXXX Our policy platform could make this clearer—agreed. Join the party, and if you want to help draft a specific policy on this, that can be arranged. It’s a massive issue rurally, as you outlined. Removing carcinogen emissions was good. But this CO₂ reduction stuff is nonsense.

@C_Featherstone @craigkellyXXX We would fight to repeal these. People can buy whatever car they want.

@C_Featherstone @craigkellyXXX I know it doesn't. We don't have a policy specific to vehicle emissions. But we are never going to vote for more of these taxes. I think we had some marketing around wanting to get rid of this a few months ago.

@C_Featherstone Of course, we would fight to remove that. All the emission target stuff has to go.

@nexuseditor1 Neither we stand for Australia's interest only. We shouldn't be involved.

PRAHRAN BY-ELECTION UPDATE The seat of Prahran is a seat that is one of the most deeply left wing seats in inner city Melbourne, previously held by a Green incumbent. While the result of .9% might at first glance seem discouraging for our party, our presence on the Ballot along with Family First and the preferences directed to the Liberals above the Greens (who we preferenced last) was crucial for flipping the seat away from the Greens. We ran a short campaign, with a first time candidate (who, along with our volunteers, gave a great account of himself), and spent no money on advertising or campaigning beyond the cost of HTVs and a few corflutes. If we achieve close to 1% in areas of Victoria as hostile to our ideas as this, in a field where 61.3% of the first preference vote went to left wing parties and independents, that is a great floor to build from elsewhere! As a final bonus for our campaign, the primary issue we focused on was Victoria's social cohesion laws. When we began the campaign, the Liberals looked set to support these censorship measures. Our candidate, Mark Dessau, opposed the laws as a member of the Jewish community, and we put pressure on the Liberals to change their position on these laws as a part of preference negotiations. During the campaign, opposition leader Brad Battin announced that the Liberals would be opposing the social cohesion laws; an outcome which our party played a part in achieving. These social cohesion laws may now face defeat in the Legislative Council, if the Greens maintain their position that they will not support them in their current form!

Hey Liberal Party MPs & Senators (Alex Antic excluded) you spineless lot of jellybacks - do you realise you’ve just voted to pass a law that will see an Australian citizen receive a mandatory jail sentence for quoting the founder of the Liberal Party Sir Robert Menzies. Menzie once said at a rally in Hurstville; “We are going to declare war on the Communists, we are going to give them a trashing" So applying the new law; ❎"give them a trashing" = threat of force (82.2BA.a) ❎"Communists" = a target group distinguished by political opinion (82.2BA.b) ❎A member of the Communists fear that this might happen (82.2BA.c) ❎And with leftist infiltration of our courts - it’s likely they’d find that that the thrashing of political opponents "would if carried out threaten the peace order and good government of the Commonwealth" (82.2BA.d) ❎It doesn’t matter if Menzies said this in "good faith" or if he didn’t mean violence So it would have been off to jail for Mr Menzies - with a mandatory sentence. So be very careful not to quote what the founder of the Liberal Party said - or you’ll end up in the slammer. If Menzies was alive today, he would recognise the Liberal Party - and I’d bet he’d resign and join the LIBERTARIANS
