A few years ago, Jason Kenney's plan to enter Alberta politics drove me straight into the arms of the Alberta NDP and I've been volunteering ever since. Today, I'm attending my first ever convention!

Okay twitter friends, I need your fashion help again. Which dress should I wear to a Christmas Party/event tonight that people often dress up for (but isn't labelled as formal). I'll check back in to see your thoughts after 5.
@chronicallybeee
When I was on metformin for insulin resistance/PCOS, I used to have to work so hard to convince medical professionals who weren't my family doc that I wasn't diabetic.
Thanks so much for weighing in and the compliments everyone!!! I think the red has won, with black in second. If I was smart, I would have made this a poll. I'll have to try it on to make sure it still fits well, but I think I'll probably go with the red!
I'm hearing that
@RajSherman
is telling people he's running for the "Progressive Conservative Party" rather than owning up to the party he's really chosen to run with. I imagine this could get very confusing for seniors and others as they attempt to vote in this election.

@BadMedicalTakes
In my 20s, a formerly close friend convinced me to go off all my meds to "detox" from the "poison." It was absolutely terrible and had major consequences. Never tell someone to stop taking their meds.
New glasses! They're transitions, which I don't know if I love yet, but having Albinism, I was told I needed more protection from the sun. Plus transitions were free this month.
I have known
@pancholi_rakhi
since she first got the nomination for Edmonton-Whitemud in the lead up to the 2019 election and I fully support her run for leadership now. She is an authentic, kind, engaging human being, not to mention absolutely brilliant. 1/3
Thanks again for all your responses! Due to an unforeseen lint ball stuck to the red, I had to go with black. Never put those things in with lace. I'll have to try and tease it out another time. Was in a rush, so didn't get a pic.

So messed up!!! When I tell people that I have albinism and my mom is Syrian, they’ll respond with “no you’re not!” Like sure... I just made that up on the spot for fun? 🤷♀️🙄
@oldenoughtosay
Once, when I was a big box store manager, we got a panicked call from a woman ten minutes before closing. She and her brother were planning on buying their mother a duvet for Christmas, but each of them thought the other picked it up. She said she would head out right away, but
30 and up Twitter, drop a pic with your age.
31 and simultaneously have lived through more bs than most 60 yr olds but haven’t lived through the bs of most teenagers/20 yr olds.
I'm attempting a project today with some leftover spraypaint I had from other projects and these pots I got at the dollar store. So far, I've mostly succeeded in making a giant mess. Also, I forgot to move my phone way out of the way and it got a bit of overspray...
Alberta is a place where opportunity is endless – for all of us. Today, I am proud to share my vision with you. I am running to be the leader of Alberta’s NDP and the next Premier of this great province.
Join me, and let’s write the next chapter in Alberta’s story.
I have lost a dear friend to a rare type of leukemia today. Ten days after her birthday. 😔 She was so generous and kind to everyone. She was tough beyond belief and endured so much. She could talk your ear off like nobody else and I will never forget her.
@oldenoughtosay
While we waited, we closed all but one till and rang in the duvet on the last one and bagged it and had it ready. She was in an absolute panick by the time she got to the door, but we let her in and she was back out the door with her mom's duvet in minutes.
They're taking something that has been working so well and that is the envy of the whole country and selling it off for profit. Click through for the article.

Jason Kenney is privatizing our labs *in the midst of a pandemic*. This will hurt patients. It’s an attack on healthcare workers. And it’s another way the UCP is annihilating public healthcare.

Finally!!! I'm going to leave the house tomorrow, for the first time in 12 days. I'll still be masked, of course, and happy that I can be confident I'm not infecting anyone.
Today's
#ArtAdventCalendar
post (don't ask me to keep track of the days) is another acrylic painting I did for my mom. At the time, the theme of her bedroom was the northern lights.
@UbakaOgbogu
I've always thought food handling should be done masked. It just makes sense as humans are gross. Today, I try to stick to places where the workers are masked.
@WhatTheADHD
While I often enjoy a trip to the grocery store, it takes me three times as long as the average person. I have to reread my list constantly because I can't retain it, I miss stuff in aisles constantly, I get distracted by nice packaging, I have to work to avoid impulse buys,

They could at least ticket the organizers. In fact, it would be great if we had even bigger penalties for organizers of events that break restrictions.
Okay, certainly not the best pictures, but my massage therapist always makes my hair look so much better after he's had his hands in it! It defies logic, but I'm sure the massage oil helps.
I'm still testing negative, but have developed symptoms... Which means I have to cancel the physiatrist appointment I've been waiting months for. All because people thought it was "just a cold" and wanted us to come for Christmas dinner.
folks would hesitate or decline. Having the memberships tied together is definitely a barrier to growth of the ANDP and every member should be allowed to make federal membership choices for themselves. I fully support Rakhi and her statement. 2/2
@DrAmyPsyD
The instant I make an appointment, it goes in the calendar on my phone. While the person I'm making it with is watching me and I make sure the reminders are activated. Not sure if that's a hack, but otherwise I miss appointments.
@JanisIrwin
I just learned that EAs in my friend’s district had spent the last week preparing methods for supporting kids remotely and were ready to roll it out this week... and now I’m extra angry! I know many families who could have used those supports!!!
In less than 24 hours, almost 6,000 people have signed our petition to tell the UCP government to stop their proposed attack on Albertans' human rights.
This outpouring of solidarity and support is incredible, but not surprising. Albertans stick up for each other. That’s why I
I dropped the ball on

for a bit! I have given most of my art away over the years, so I don't have much to share. This is a not-so-well-preserved chalk pastel drawing I did when I was much younger.
Despite all its challenges this year, I'm still getting a decent haul from the tower garden. I think my tomatoes cross pollenated or something because I planted red and yellow and they mostly seem orange.
