Suspicious, took him to lunch & he told me that he was being let go, HR told him to lie because they knew staff would be upset, & gave him 2 weeks pay but didn’t tell him about unemployment.

He’s saved about $7,000 in total & is not a spender.
He has a 401k rollover from a previous job & we talked how to invest it.
I didn’t have this at 19.
