We are pleased to see DG4 is alert and eating well at the wildlife rehabilitation facility. A further update will be provided when we know more after the eaglet has some time to rest and recover from what must have been a very frightening experience.

We’re aware that Pi fell when another portion of the nest collapsed at 6:58 am. A rescue team is on the way to the site. We’ll provide additional updates when we receive them.

Eagle will hold their wings slightly away from their bodies and puff their feathers out to allow for more air cooling. Eagles sunning themselves with wings extended out is also common as it is a way for them to deter insects and mites in their feathers.

Pi was evaluated with no injuries found and is currently at the wildlife rehabilitation with Pat. Both have been placed together in a flight cage at the current time. They are currently being monitored and assessed. Further updates will be given when we know more information.

For those of you who remember “Lady and The Tramp”. V2 returned to the nest at 10:05 am with a food delivery that resembled spaghetti. Of course, it wasn���t. 😊

Yesterday afternoon a portion of the nest collapsed at 4:11 pm. Last night at about 12:58 am DG4 fell along with an additional part of the nest. We have a rescue team on-site. We’ll post updates as soon as we receive them.

We are planning a "welfare" check sometime today if needed. In the last half hour, Flora's squees have been louder/closer to the microphone and rustling is heard in the nest tree. We are hoping to not need to go out if we can locate Flora on cam. We will update when we know more.

DG4’s Fall from The Nest. A portion of the nest had already collapsed the day before and unfortunately another portion fell after midnight taking precious DG4 along with it. The good news is that DG4 has been rescued and taken to a rehabber to be examined.
