Bravo Tizzy. That's what I did a number of years ago--I let them go--all of them. Without malice or rancor. I live alone and I'm old--no kids. But the growing sense of peace and wellbeing I have now cannot be underestimated. That's the best gift of all.

Not cool to generalize adults who live below the Mason-Dixon line. You could have gotten away with that in the '50s but not today. There are many educated, nonjudgmental folks here in the south, as there are many judgmental adults in all other areas. Joking or not, I am offended.

100% agree. Our mothers did their sons no favors not just condoning this behavior, but fanning the flames of it. As a result, that attitude is not tolerated by women today. I think there is a direct correlation to spousal abuse.

I'm not aware of Roger being disrespected in such a way but I can tell you that I hold him in the highest regard. Who gives a shit about stats. Roger was sheer elegance on the court. Not just a great player, he brought his love and respect for the game every time he played.

Last year, I had to give away my sweet dog bec of having major surgery followed by prolonged recovery. The surgery was nothing compared to losing my little dog. So your act of thoughtfulness really touched me.
