And now the BHA naming and shaming Newbury and Newmarket at the bottom of the table for timekeeping - I'm starting to think a weekly "Mantle Moans" piece could see racing completely sorted out by the end of the year.
I talked about taking a position laying Gaelic Warrior pre-race for the CC and hours later he is mysteriously being re-routed to the Ryanair? Anyone who thinks Mullins isn't all over Simon's Zooms-In series the moment they drop looking for guidance is kidding themselves imo....

Fair play to the RP - in recent years there has been much criticism of the cynical, huge price increase put in place a week before Cheltenham but they have clearly listened to the concerns of their readers and put in place a cynical, huge price increase a month before instead.

No luck on this occasion but I think I might have copped if it hadn't missed the break/been rushed up to join a speed dual/finished off like a horse who had also taken part in the preceding staying chase at Bangor.
You often read on here that if you fancy one and it drifts, just have more on so having backed Havechatma at 2.76 this morning I've gone in again at 3.6. And 4.8. And 6.2, 7.6, 8.4, 9.6, 10.5, 12, 13.5 and 15. Fingers crossed.....

This Arkle truly captures the thrill of NH. Some say it's a coin-flip, some are in the Majborough camp, others Sir Gino - but for all the preview chat, podcasts and column inches not one person knows for sure which of the two it is that will have a setback and miss the festival.
