Residents I met in Kirklees live in retrofitted, energy efficient homes, which cuts their energy bills by £350 a year. The right energy strategy - focusing on renewables - creates a real difference to people’s lives. That’s the difference Labour in power makes.

Very disappointing article with so many inaccuracies, it’s hard to know where to begin. For starters, independent research shows that heat pumps will work well in 90% of 🇬🇧 homes & BUS grant is now £7.5k. Claims that our geology somehow makes ASHP’s unsuitable for UK is laughable

This is such a lazy narrative. Installs are up 75% since we increased grant levelal and they work well in older properties. This is about our long term energy security-do we want to heat our homes using UK produced electricity or expensive imported gas?

@DavidGHFrost @RossjournoClark I’m sorry @DavidGHFrost but you’re wrong on this. We spent over £50 billion last winter subsidising energy bills because of the cost of imported gas, following Russian invasion. Encouraging home heating using UK produced electricity is a question of national energy security.
