Dr. Nakamura was a hero who gave Afghanistan water and life. The Taliban killed him—a man with only love and respect for this land. Never forget what they’ve robbed from us.

@Arashh_Tajik History remembers them as traitors, and so do we. There is no redemption for those who sell our land, whether in the past or present. But today, we have a choice- repeat their mistakes or ensure Afghanistan is never bartered again. The question is, which side are you on?

Three decades of training and funding the Taliban, and now they expect applause for “discovering” their own creation?

The security state highlights such “discoveries” to confuse people about its own complicity in promoting project Taliban. Afghan and Pak Taliban have been one org all along when Taliban were trained, equipped and financed for 3 decades in Pakistan for fighting in Afghanistan.

Peace built on fear is not peace. The absence of war is not freedom. If you have to beg for your rights, you are not free. If your silence keeps you alive, you are not at peace.

Last night, I tried to write. I have done it before- poured pain into words, shaped tears into lines. But this time, the words did not come. How do you write a poem when the ink feels like blood? When every word carries the weight of those who can no longer speak? I wanted to find meaning in the ruins, to carve beauty from the suffering. But there is no beauty in a land where mothers bury empty coffins, where a girl’s voice is treated as a crime, where dreams are shattered before they can take flight. Beauty does not exist in a land where graves outnumber gardens. I have written poems before, but now, the silence is louder. The grief is too raw to be molded into verse. If I were to write a poem, it would not be beautiful. It would be restless, unfinished- like a nation waiting to breathe again.

Just found this photo from TEDxKabul 2013. The room was full of brilliant Afghan men and women, listening to Afghan minds, including @AmrullahSaleh2 , who shared lessons from the past and hope for the future. I believe his son @ebad_saleh was in the audience too. I pray we see these days again- with leaders who know our history and won’t repeat the mistakes of past jihadi leaders by trusting the wrong neighbors. “Nations that forget their history are doomed to repeat it.” Afghanistan must rise with wisdom, not illusions.

Nuristan- where the mountains stand tall and so do the people. But I tell you this: no force, no king, no invader can break the soul of a people who refuse to forget. Afghanistan is Nuristan. Nuristan is Afghanistan. And together, we will reclaim the story they tried to steal.

Prince Karim Aga Khan IV was a visionary who built where others destroyed, restored where others abandoned, and empowered where others oppressed. His work in Afghanistan- reviving culture, strengthening communities, and investing in the future- will stand the test of time. Deepest condolences to the Ismaili community. He will be deeply missed.

Tonight, Netanyahu and Trump meet, and the trajectory of what’s to come will be set. These decisions will not just shape Iran or the region but impact the world. I pray for peace, justice, and a future where no one lives in fear of oppression. To Afghans: We have seen how fast a country can fall. Do not depend on neighboring countries- they have never had our best interests at heart. No foreign power will build our freedom. Only we can. Learn from history, unite, and take control of our own destiny.

The @UN (defender of human rights) grants travel perks to Taliban terrorists while Afghan women are caged. Sirajuddin Haqqani gets a pass- schoolgirls get erased. What a beautiful example of their charter.
