@ScottParko @WG_RumblePants Which is why external investment was required. The playing field has changed even since The Hundred was conceived. The big overseas names will come when it makes financial sense for them to come.

@WG_RumblePants Things are worth what people are prepared to pay for them. Those investing are not fools. They see a tournament in its infancy and can probably see that it could develop into something pretty special. A lot of the social media noise against The Hundred is just that.

Some positive noises coming out of @EmiratesOT after the deal with the PRSG Group was struck. It seems wise to be open about the kind of investor and partnership you are looking for and reassuring to be working with cricket people who have a track record of building a franchise.

A hugely significant day, as the RPSG group led by Sanjiv Goenka are confirmed as the preferred investor for the Originals. It was no secret that we were seeking interest from an IPL franchise, so a tie in with those behind @LucknowIPL and @DurbansSG is an exciting development.

Critics of @thehundred claimed that the money and the interest wouldn’t be there. It looks like they were wrong after 49% of four franchises have been sold for huge sums. We will find out on Monday if Manchester can find a suitable investor. 🤞that everything goes to plan.

A classy innings from Eve Jones sees her finally dismissed for 130. For all the changes that the Originals may be looking to make, we hope that they are planning to retain a batter who brings quality to the top order.
