So, our tiny human was in the hospital (everything is fine now) but the doctor was asking who the bio-dad was. We tried to be subtle 'actually, we are both the parents.' He was *so* confused. He said 'no, im not asking a political question, i need 1/2

Didn't make it difficult, the first thing we did is say "actually, we are both the bio-parents" it's pretty straight forward. Knowing which one of us is trans was not a pre-requisite for his medical care. I know this may come as a surprise.

No, i just try to keep as little information about my tiny human available online. We call them as the gender they were assigned at birth until such a point as they choose to tell us otherwise while not pushing societal gender steriotypes on them ^^

Sounds like symantics to me 🤷♀️ the interaction took all of two minutes and no one was hurt. We were discussing release from the hospital at that point. When we were admitted, we were asked the same thing, gave the same answer and there was no confusion at all so...

Fun fact, my mom tried this on me... the brainwashing caused a *lot* of misguided information, depression, self-hatred, and as a result i did and said a lot of things i am ashamed of... and in the end, i was *still* trans and *still* pansexual, i finally recovered.

Maybe, in this case it really didn't seem to matter in any way. I can't personally think of any reason why anything would matter as far as which one of us exactly is trans, but that doesn't mean it's not true! I'll make sure to keep that in mind.
