This ECJ ruling is unbelievable- it is going to bring down the EU. If a member state can invoke article 50 then simply withdraw it unilaterally then Italy (and every other disgruntled member) will use it as a threat and tool to extract better terms

@thistlejohn The point of having loyal opposition is in part that MPs who are not in the goverment do not undermine the government in foreign affairs. We need a law to prevent this in future as MPs clearly don’t have the decency and patriotism to regulate themselves.

@NavyLookout @Australian_Navy Great for the Australian Navy , I suspect the ‘optionally manned’ ships will eventually revert to merely being highly automated with reduced crew requirements. So the RAN now plans to have more major surface combatants than the RN , when will our government wake up.
