What if you're in favor of cutting 90% of it?
"I’m literally for randomly cutting everything by 10-35% and seeing what happens" is something you can only say when you are very wealthy and living in an extremely wealthy social bubble. Just absolutely zero fucks given about millions of Americans such a strategy would impact.

@WealthWatchman I wouldn't be surprised if 80% is wasted. So far they're just finding the obvious, blatant abuse. Every bit of "legit" spending is going to have kickbacks, ineffeciencies, and expensive failures.

I thought this was a joke initially. For what possible purpose is government doing this? Did some lucky grifter get a forever sinecure?
Federal employee retirements are processed using paper, by hand, in an old limestone mine in Pennsylvania. 700+ mine workers operate 230 feet underground to process ~10,000 applications per month, which are stored in manila envelopes and cardboard boxes. The retirement process takes multiple months.

I bet @mattbramanti would have some thoughts about this. Here's my edit: "Scholar Deciphers the World's Oldest Writing System." Undeciphered ancient texts are inherently mysterious, and scholars are always competing to be the first to decipher them.
